Lift . Correct . Smooth

PDO Thread Face Lift

Are PDO Threads Right for You?

Polydioxanone (PDO) is a dissolvable suture material, commonly used in cardiothoracic surgery due to low reactivity of this suture in patients. There are 2 types we use in aesthetics:

  • Smooth threads are the width of a strand of hair. We carefully lace them around a cannula and place them under the skin. Your body will recognize this dissolvable suture material as a foreign body and build new collagen & elastin around the strand. When the thread has dissolved, your intentionally structured collagen & elastin remain. Your final results may include additional facial volume, skin thickness, and smoothed out textural issues.

  • Suspension threads are textured to anchor the skin and suspend it. Suspension threads are a non-surgical, non-scarring facelift alternative. To picture what your suspension results may look like, use your index fingers to pull your cheeks up and back. New collagen then grows in the trajectory of the strands, like replaced velcro.

Extensively Trained Injectors

Aesthetic injections aren't a part of PA, NP, or traditional MD education. Most injectors only receive 1-2 weeks of training before taking patients. As an Allergan Medical Institute trainer, Karli trains injectors across the Southeast US, and all Nectar Injectors undergo 3-months of intensive full-time injection training.

Concierge Care

Your experience begins when you make your appointment. We offer online booking, as well as  pre-assessment with ideal provider placement for those who want something more comprehensive. After your tailored treatment, expect personalized follow-up from your own Patient Care Concierge.

Tailored Treatments

Nectar Aesthetics is not a volume-focused med spa, so we don't double-book our time slots or rush you out the door. Our priority is to fully understand your desires, and build a custom aesthetic treatment plan for your goals. Our consultations are comprehensive and aimed at ensuring a look that is youthful, natural, and consistent. We will also discuss the maintenance plan, so you can keep your results for years to come.

The Gentlest Hands

Injections can be uncomfortable, especially when the injector is rushed or doesn't prioritize patient experiences. Expect comfort from our gentle hands, superior numbing, and even Pro-Nox™ (laughing gas). We always use the smallest needles possible to deliver your results and utilize blunt needles when possible, which feel more like pressure than pain.

PDO Thread FAQs

How long does puckering last after suspension threads?

Typically 3-14 days after your procedure you'll have a small zone of bunched up skin near the treatment's origin area. Your skin will settle down the thread over the first two weeks, as the puckering softens.

Do PDO Threading treatments hurt?

Due to numbing, patients report very low pain during treatment. For the first two weeks after treatment, suspension patients may experience mild to moderate discomfort. We offer Pro-nox to reduce the discomfort of treatments, which is why patients come us for PDO Threads from DeBary, Sanford, Lake Mary, and Orlando. For smooth thread treatments, there is mild discomfort during treatment, and only mild discomfort for up to 5 days after treatment.

Do PDO Suspension Thread Lifts replace facelifts?

PDO suspension lifts do not provide facelift-level results. During a facelift, excessive skin is removed, leaving a scar. Suspension thread lifts do not result in excessive skin removal, which is why they are scarless treatments.

How long do PDO Thread results last?

Results lasts as long as your body keeps the collagen formed after treatment. The amount of collagen your body forms in response to the treatment is also a very important factor of duration. Most patients see their results last for about a year.

Do you offer PDO Threading treatments near me in Florida?

We have an Orlando, FL med spa and Sanford, FL med spa, with patients coming to us for PDO Threading from Orlando, Winter Park, Lake Mary, DeBary, and DeLand.
