Melissa is a Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with over 17 years of clinical experience and a passion for helping patients look and feel their best. Known by many as The Good Injector, she blends medical expertise with an artist’s eye for detail—creating natural, balanced results that enhance each patient’s unique features.
Her career began in emergency medicine, where she earned national recognition for exceptional clinical skill and life-saving care. She brings that same dedication to her work in aesthetics, continuously advancing her training to stay at the forefront of new technologies and techniques. Melissa treasures the positive experience she had at Kiva Med Spa and is grateful to now continue caring for many of her beloved Kiva patients here at Nectar.
When she’s not in the treatment room, Melissa enjoys continuing education, exploring innovations in wellness, and building long-term relationships with her patients—many of whom she has cared for over the course of years.

After earning her Bachelor of Science and Medical Doctorate, Dr. Lyly completed a rigorous five-year general surgery residency and ultimately earned her board certification in general surgery. She then went on to conduct plastic surgery research during a year-long fellowship. She continued her training by completing a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the prestigious Vanderbilt University. Dr. Lyly then earned her board certification in plastic surgery from the American Board of Plastic Surgery, earning the title of a double board-certified plastic surgeon.
